We are living through one of the greatest of scientific struggles the attempt to understand the most complex object in the universe, the brain. For years it was tempting to imagine that the brain was the hardware on which the mind program or mind software is executing. Scientists are collecting huge measures of information about structure and capacity in an enormous exhibit of minds, from the smallest to our own. Every day, we hear about new discoveries that shed light on how brains work, along with the promise or threat of new technology that will enable us to do such improbable things as reading minds, or detect criminals, or even be uploaded into a computer. Books are repeatedly produced that each claims to explain the brain in different ways that’s why brains are totally different from computers

Why Your Brain is Not a Computer?

The differentiation between brain and computer is very useful in the field of cognitive science and Artificial Intelligence where the human brain is used to model the artificial neural network to create an expert system. The prior difference in how brains are different from computers is that the brain can work without data, but computers require a minimum amount of data. A brain is an innovative and creative organ, but the computer cannot create a new thing without any support, it would need some program or software to do this. The brain additionally has presence of mind thinking and getting capacities

Comparison of Human Brain with Computer

A Brain is a very sophisticated system. Our mind takes care of a few responsibilities all the while that are exceptionally unpredictable, for example, talking, breathing, tuning in, seeing, strolling, envisioning, thinking, grinning, contacting, feeling, smelling, getting the hang of, making the choice, observing. Such undertakings require a ton of preparation. The memory in the human brain is used to encode, retain, store, and consequently reminding information and past experiences. It is a place where all the learned processes and things retained from the activities. This whole process is achieved through neurons.

The human brain does not follow any topology such as computer networks. It keeps changing its topology and makes a new connection each time a person learns anything. However, the data recovery in the human brain is unpredictable where the relevant data is recovered first then it is represented in any form.

When it comes to processing speed of the brain it is several 100 MIPS (Million computer instructions per second) which is less than a supercomputer, but the reason behind this is the extensive number of nerve cells and the interconnections between them, where the firing speed of the different neurons may vary.

When we compare the human brain with a computer and observe how brains are different from computers then it is far backward. Because the PC cannot perform activities, which a normal youngster’s brain can execute for example perceiving the transcribed examples, various voices, developing new things, and so on. A computer is made of various electronic components such as logic gates, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, and so on. This combination of electrical components provides a great speed of processing in nanoseconds.

The measure of capacity in PCs can be variable and the limit of the memory is expanding and the size of the memory is diminishing by the development in the memory gadgets but the memory in computers can exist in two forms that are primary and secondary. Primary is used for storing temporary values for calculation processes where fast access or updating is required. This type of memory content vanishes when the power goes off. While secondary memory (Hard disks, a removable disk, and tape drivers) is used to store the data that should be permanently stored such as systems data programs and other documents. The smallest addressable memory unit is a byte.

The significant truth to recognize the brain is different from Computers is that the mind, of course, works on number framework while PC deals with twofold language, and the mind utilizing an interesting way to deal with learning by experiences. On the other hand, the computers learn the things that are residing in memory (distributive learning).
